Please join us in welcoming Paul Schmidt to the United Refractories Company (URC) sales team! Paul has accepted a Wenatchee, WA based Sales Representative position and begins working for us Monday, March 2nd.
Paul brings over three decades of refractory sales experience to URC. His focus will be working with contractors, OEM’s and end users in the diversified US and Canadian customer base west of the Rockies. Paul’s extensive background in both monolithics, pre-cast shapes, and ceramic fiber applications will position him to accelerate our growth out west in key URC markets including ferrous foundries, aluminum, cement, WTE, biomass and petro-chemicals. Paul will report to Pete Antimarino, Vice President Contractor/Installers and work closely with URC’s Market Managers (Champions) using the 4U Service approach to provide URC’s existing and new customers with a business advantage.
As we welcome Paul, we also want to thank Bruce Greenberg for his contribution in getting our northwest sales initiative off and running. Over the next two weeks Bruce will be turning key accounts over to Paul before he transitions into retirement. After over four decades of providing great customer service in the refractory industry, we wish Bruce and his family a well-deserved, long and satisfying retirement.
